Today, I battle with the rest of my 70+ employees as we brave the storm “Maring.” Yesterday was still manageable at work but today was different. I received a phone call from my mom that our home was already affected by the flooding in the area (that sucks!) and I was texting all my line managers to check on their safety as well as their teams. At the same time I was asked by my 7 bosses for some urgent deliverables. Today was not a good day for everyone. Work was easy to deliver what I cannot fathom is seeing my people stranded in the office with no food. Yes, they have shelter but times like this, they should be with their family (aren’t we all?). I know I can only do so much for them. I welcome them in my home for shelter, for food and for anything else that I can give. I hope those people who can help will provide assistance without the order. This is the time we need to unite as Filipinos. Let’s pray for the Philippines.

Life is wonderful if you know how to live it.

Life has been hard on me lately, especially when it comes to the matters of the heart. It has been an emotional roller coaster with it's own version of peaks and valleys. This phase of my life was excruciating. But after everything that happened to me, it made me stronger and braver and wiser.

I started to accept life as it is. Whatever comes, accept it! No resentment, just learn from it.

Live life as God planned it for you. Don't give God instructions on how He should plan our life, just report for duty!

Every damn day

That feeling when someone brings you flowers every day, hugs you unexpectedly, buys your favorite food/chocolate/coffee because you’re stressed at work, kisses you in front of his friends, holds your hand while dancing in the club, cooks you breakfast just before you wake up, massages your feet until you fall asleep. 

That someone who will move mountains just to see you smile. 
Someone who makes you feel like a princess, every damn day! 

How can you not fall in love with that?

I choose to love.

Repeat to yourself: I choose love. By opening my heart I allow wonderful things to flow into my life. By giving, I receive. Love is the innermost essence of my soul, and today I will do my best to see the love that is present in every situation. I choose to give love to every person I meet. In love, I grow.

Respect + Love

It’s funny how some people try to convince themselves and other people about false truths. They believe what they want to believe and force the entire universe into believing that they are okay, that they are happy.

One of the things I learned in life is to never allow anyone to treat you like crap. You do not let other people tell you what to do! You have to control your life. Decide and choose who/what can make you happy/sad. Everything that happens to you will be your own decision, your choice. You blame no one but yourself. 

That's why you have to learn to respect and love yourself. Through self-respect and self-love, everything is possible. You can understand pain, you can forgive easily, you can love freely. This would require deep meditation and practice. 

If you’re in deep shit, I suggest you find a mentor or an inspiration. Some serious medication can help too. So that at the end of the day, you will not end up alone and in misery.
