Lord God, we pray for all people who are wounded by many struggles in life and lose hope. We pray for all who indulge exclusively in life’s pleasures not realizing the shortness of earthly life and their eternal destiny. Grant us a wider perspective so that we can see beyond our present pains or gains into your promises that assure us of lasting peace, joy, and life, so that Christ is all and in all.
